The inspiration for this piece came from the natural beauty of the Rainbow Mountain, in the Peruvian Andes in Cusco. This breathtaking creation of turquoise, lavender, and gold rainbow-like layers of sediment was only recently discovered due to the snow melting revealing the hidden gem.
