This painting is a social commentary on forgiveness. Pain is often an essential element, finding expression in art and song, but hope lies in humanity’s unique ability to forgive one another. By accepting redemption, we are the only ones who can free ourselves from fear and escape the unacceptable condition of mental slavery.
